Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a blast! Downtown was very tame compared to the last time I was there. Lots of great costumes!

Hope everyone had a great time!
The song of the moment is a band we actually saw downtown.

Whew

Just realized it's been a while since my last post.

Things are definitely going good. Still working out condo stuff which seems to be starting at day 1 now with a whole group of new people. The original people we were working with was like talking to a brick wall and never communicated with me. Eventually he told us that he is not wheda approved and now we must work with someone else...augh! Frustrating to say the least.

On a lighter side I am officially down 24 lbs. I am feeling good and well on my way to look super hot for Aprils wedding. lol

I got a new schedule at work which is amazing! I now get to work like a normal adult Monday-Friday 8:30-5! It's about time! It will be super nice getting off work and still somewhat light out.

talk to you soon!

Checking in...

Well it's been a bit so I thought I would update everyone. Things are going good with me. I am working more and more on the "business" which is keep me quite busy. Work has been super slow so I've been getting done early. It's super nice and that gives me a chance to help Mae with her homework. She is doing really good!!! I am very impressed with her Math skills! We are also working on spelling and using her spelling words in her vocabulary.

Nothing really new with the condo stuff. He is going to see if he can just refinance and buy me out right away. Which will be super nice, but I'm not getting my hopes up quite yet. But when this is all over you better believe I am throwing a "I have no house" warming party!

I am really starting to look at this all as a good thing. It might just be the best thing thats happened to me! I am ready to get on with my life and stop looking back.
AND I am finally realizing that I am doing things for me!!! (and typing me and I, instead of we and our! yay!) For the last five years I have done things for someone else and put myself second. It is the greatest feeling knowing that I am all I have to worry about. I went to target the other day and didn't have to buy men's deodorant and body wash! And no more buying stuff for my house! My bill was super cheap! Another reason being single and homeless is working out for me.

Amazing News!

Well I got some pretty great news yesterday. Matt got approved for the loan on the condo! So that means I get my name off the condo and will stop paying for a house I don't live in! Yay! I am so happy, things are starting to come around for me.

I also am kicking my ass to get in shape. I've already lost 13 lbs. in a little over a month! Working out and eating right really helps, imagine that! LOL.

Anyway, not much else is new.

Interesting Week

So my week was very interesting, busy and productive.

Sunday I went to Oshkosh for Emily's, Kate's and June's birthday party. It was a blast! A nice getaway for sure. Something about watching the carefree attitude of kids. It put a smile on my face. Give them a pool full of water (even if they are swimming in their underwear lol), cake with starbursts and plenty of toys and they think its the best day ever. It was great! I have the cutest nieces and nephews in the world! A perfect day to brighten up my life! Oh, and Justin is home!!! It was good to see him after 2 months. April was glowing :)

Monday and Tuesday were pretty low key. Drinks on Monday. Watched TV with Mae on Tuesday.

Wednesday I met up with Naomi (an old friend from High school). We had dinner at The Village Green then went to Paul's Neighborhood Bar in Middleton for some drinks. After a few beers and 6 hours we finally caught up after not seeing each other for almost a year. It was great conversation! I love how we can pick up right where we left off. I hope its not another year before we see each other again!

Thursday consisted of a relaxing day off, kitty spa day, then dinner at my Dad's house. We had an amazing steak dinner with corn on the cob and baked potatoes. (Does not qualify for my healthy recipe request, but good none the less (in moderation)). After dinner we went for a walk with the dogs, thank god! Had to work some of that dinner off! I then found out that our walk had a purpose. Dumpster diving! Which did not suprise me considering my dad picks stuff off the curb all day. This time though it was Melissa. She found the jackpot and we had to go back for more. At least I got some free T-shirts out of it (clean and in plastic) and she got some scrapbooking things. Weird but fun none the less!

After dinner I went out for a few drinks with Jeremy (Stop right there, I know what you're thinking and NO!) He is a great friend who is a good listener when I need to man bash. At least he doesn't mind to an extent. LOL Poor guy! I think he just wants to get out of the house so he'll put up with anything.

Friday I got together with my "business partner" to talk more about our idea. We were very productive and really figured a lot out. I think as long as we don't go too fast it will really be amazing and successful. Now we just need a name...hmmm back in that boat again!

Friday night, dinner with Mom and Mae. Chili Lime Steak and baked potatoes. lol I'll be working those two dinners off for a while. But it was delicious! So much for that moderation comment, twice in one week?! No walk or workout today either. :( I'll get back on track.
After dinner and relaxing Tim, Mom, Mae and I went to see Julie and Julia in the Theatre. It was a pretty good movie, I think we all enjoyed it.

Aside from my busy week I have started reading Twilight. So far I'm hooked!!!

Whew, my "weekend" is over. Back to work tomorrow. We'll see what next week brings.

Kitty manicure

So I had to get Dolly some soft paws so she would stop scratching on the carpet. It was spa day for kitty. She did amazing and has not touched them once! I'm really excited she took to them so well. They sell different colors so we can have fun with her during holidays lol. I can see it now red and green nails at Xmas :)

Business

So keeping the business is out. I guess Matt would also like to keep it and wants to keep midtown techs. The name is not purchased by me so I have no control over that. I have been looking into a few other things and talking to a few other people. I am going to start my own business, it will happen. Things are just in the beginning stages but I think it will be successful!

I have thought about another Computer repair type business but there is no way I can do it on my own. I have no business partner and working while trying to do it will be very tough. I am not against doing side jobs but the actual business might be out for now.

The other idea I have is gonna have to be a secret for now. I'd rather not get the info out there without having something in place in case someone steals it! lol Who knows who is reading this :)

I'll keep you posted,
Angie

Business

So I have been throwing around the idea of still pursuing the business. It hasn't really taken off yet so I think I can still keep it going (for now) by myself. I feel like I can still try to get our name out there and if we end up actually getting business and being busy I can hire on. I need some major business advice though. Maybe I need to take a class. I have no idea what I'm doing lol. So now I have to wait until Ken gets back to me to see if he will sell the domain name of midtowntechs.com to me. If not, I need new business name ideas lol. I would appreciate any insight or advice anyone has for me.

Also can someone tell me when I will stop typing we, our and us and start typing I, me and my?

Thanks,
Angie

Recipes

So I am looking for recipes for things that are easy to make, healthy and delicious.

I need to start getting in shape and eating better is my next step.
Please send them my way!

Thanks,
Angie

Lazy Cat!

Dolly is really loving living at Grandma's house. So many places to explore (yes she is in my closet) and lots of lounging.

Upside Down

Well I am attempting to get back to blogging. This blog has turned from Matt and Angie's Blog into just Angie's Blog. I am sure you are all aware that Matt broke up with me. It pretty much blindsided me. My life was flipped upside down in a matter of days. I never thought that someone would give up 5 years without actually trying to make it work. So in the meantime we will be selling our condo. I have moved into my parents house while he is still living there. It took a lot to move a 2 bedroom condo into a spare bedroom but I have stored a lot of stuff away until I can get my own place.

Everyone has been very supportive and comforting to me in these hard times. You all know who you are and thank you again!!! It really means a lot to have someone to catch you when you fall.

For the most part I am doing ok. I keep myself busy so I don't have to sit down and think about it.

I have removed all of the previous posts on this blog. If there is anything you would like back up let me know.

Thanks again to my great friends and family for being here for me.

Love ya,
Angie
